These releases are compilations of mood music mostly originating from EMI's flagship "Studio Two"label, augmented by offerings from the United Artists label and the KPM Recorded Music Library. 

"The Sound Gallery" features tracks recorded over an eight year period from 1968 to 1976. They were recorded using the best available studios (more often EMI's Abbey Road Studio Two) and the best session men, and using the most advanced recording techniques of the day. The music is generally in the style of lounge/easy listening/jazz/pop-rock.
